Gutta-percha is a material used to fill a tooth after a root canal treatment. Gutta-percha, a plastic substance derived from a Malaysian tree called percha tree, is used as a permanent filling in root canals. Gutta-percha is the thermoplastic filling material that is heated and compressed into the tooth's canal and sealed with cement.
