There are 5 stages of tooth decay. We’ve outlined the common symptoms at each stage so you can look out for early signs to better reverse early decay for healthier, stronger teeth: Demineralization: The initial stage of tooth decay comes in the form of white or brown spots on the surface of the tooth. This occurs when enamel is weakened and is at risk of being stripped away. Enamel Decay: During the second stage of decay, enamel continues to be eaten away by bacteria to expose the dentin layer underneath. Proper treatment from your dentist is the only way to ensure the decay doesn’t progress to the next stage. Dentin Decay: Softer than enamel, dentin, the layer right underneath enamel, decays at a faster pace than its protective outer layer. As bacteria eats away at the dentin of the tooth, treatments are the only option. Infection: If decay progresses further, then the layer underneath the dentin, known as dental pulp, becomes infected. Since the pulp is rich in nerves, this stage is often accompanied by severe toothache. Abscess Formation: Once tooth decay has reached its final stage, the infection moves throughout the jawbone and later forms pus. Schedule your consultation now!

Dental bridges don't replace the root of a missing tooth, but they do bridge the gap between two…

Dental bridges don't replace the root of a missing tooth, but they do bridge the gap between two teeth Fixed bridges require the teeth on either side of the bridge to be filed down, in preparation to be bonded to them. Bridges look like natural teeth and aren't removable, which is good. However, they don't replace teeth roots, and they require two healthy teeth to be trimmed down, which is why they aren't considered to be quite as quality an option as implants. Implants become a permanent part of your jaw through a process called osseointegration, wherein the dental implant fuses with your natural bone and hence last a lifetime. However, the crown will likely need to be replaced between 10 and 15 years, just like with a bridge. Want to make an informed decision about your dental treatment? Visit us @Apple Dental for a consultation where our dental experts can provide recommendations based on your medical history & clinical assessment to help you choose the most effective treatment option. The time for the completion of the treatment varies from person to person and mostly depends upon the severity of each case. Clear aligners are a better option for individuals who long for a straighter smile, but do not want to wear traditional metal braces. Clear aligners are easily removable and hence enable a person to brush and floss after meals. They are more comfortable and less likely to irritate the gums and cheeks of the person using them and also protect tooth wear from grinding. Want to make an informed decision about your dental treatment? Visit us @Apple Dental for a consultation where our dental experts can provide recommendations based on your medical history and clinical assessment to help you choose the most effective treatment option.

A root canal treatment is an endodontic procedure used to treat infections in the tooth’s root. The root of the tooth is located below the gum line, and it contains the pulp, which is responsible for providing blood and nutrients to the tooth. When this pulp becomes infected, it can cause significant pain and inflammation. A RCT will remove the infected pulp and replaces it with a synthetic material. An extraction is a procedure used to remove an affected tooth from the mouth. The main difference between RCT and tooth extraction is that RCT is used to treat infections, while extractions remove the natural tooth. Usually, RCT is a better option than extractions because they are less invasive, won’t leave you with a missing tooth, and can often be performed in a single visit. However, there are some situations where tooth extraction is the best option for a damaged tooth. If you have severe decay or infection, an extraction may be the best way to treat the problem and improve your oral health. Let us help you restore your confidence & improve your oral health. Step 1 – It’s essential to start brushing from the outer areas of my teeth. When you use circular motion on the tooth surface, you can easily make your teeth germs-free. Don’t be in a hurry to clean the tooth surfaces. Always take the adequate time for cleaning. Step 2 – Keeping your toothbrush at the right angle can help you reach the most profound areas of your teeth. For this, you need to go with a 45-degree angle. It’s undoubtedly a compelling angle that can help you brush and clean your teeth. Step 3 – To clean the inner surface, choose a toothbrush with a small-sized head. Now, you need to back and forth it inside your mouth and target the inner surfaces of your teeth. Step 4 – If you want to protect your teeth from plaque, germs, and cavities, you need to brush and clean the chewing surfaces. Step 5 – Don’t forget brushing and cleaning your tongue. Tongue is a place where germs and bacteria can quickly start breeding. So, if you don’t want to turn your tongue into a breeding ground for germs, you must clean it daily. Make sure you use a flexible toothbrush that can easily be used at different angles. Try to reach every area of your teeth to clean each tooth properly. Don’t wait any longer to achieve your perfect smile. Let us help you restore your confidence and improve your oral health. From routine check-ups to complex procedures, we got you covered. Dentures are a more affordable and non-invasive option, while dental implants offer superior stability, longevity, and aesthetics. Dentures are prosthetic teeth made of acrylic resin that are used to replace missing teeth. In some cases of partial dentures, clasps/wires may be used to provide support from adjacent teeth. Dental implants, however, are artificial tooth roots made of titanium or titanium alloy that are surgically placed into the jawbone beneath the gum line. They serve as a sturdy base for the attachment of replacement teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.  Dentures and implants ultimately serve the same purposes. The choice between the two depends on individual circumstances, including oral health, budget, and personal preferences. Consulting with a dental professional will help determine the best solution to restore your smile and improve your overall oral well-being. Remember, the ultimate goal is to regain your confidence and enjoy a healthy, functional smile that suits your needs.
